Learning to play a musical instrument can be both enriching and enjoyable. Guitar and Ukulele students of all ages will learn to read music, to play with proper technique and perform a wide variety of music. Whether the student dreams of rocking out, strumming to the latest hits or playing classic masterpieces, lessons are thoughtfully designed to achieve results. In addition to expert one-on-one instruction, students are also provided customized sheet music to match their individual taste. Opportunities for the student to perform with others are crucial for motivation and will be a strong focus.
David is both an experienced teacher and performer (30+ years) who began learning classical guitar at age 8. He was fortunate to have studied a wide variety of musical styles from top-notch instructors — Dr. Stephen Robinson, Alice Artzt, Michael Newman (classical guitar), Jack McCraken (jazz guitar), Walter Wedler (blues/rock guitar), Diego Corriente (flamenco guitar). He received a Music degree from highly regarded Rutgers University – Mason Gross School of the Arts and has performed in over 30 masterclasses with many international guitar icons (Roland Dyens, Jason Vieaux, Benjamin Verdery, Elena Papandreou, Eduardo Fernandez and more).
David enjoys a wide variety of music, enthusiastically performing and teaching every style imaginable including rock, jazz, blues, folk, pop and funk. For younger students in particular, exposure to other cultures is very enriching. David practices what he preaches by embracing all the music scenes in the Orlando area. He performs professionally as a soloist, in two duos (voice/guitar, flute/guitar), in a rock/jazz/blues trio (guitar/bass/drums) and is the lead guitarist at St. Paul’s church. David recently released the album, Going Places, which is available worldwide on iTunes, Amazon, etc.
